Vilniaus universiteto absolventų eksperimentinės archeologijos klubo „Pajauta“ bei asociacijos „Vilniaus knygrišių gildija“ nariai pasitelkdami eksperimentinę archeologiją bei trasologiją savo eksperimentais ir rekonstrukcijomis priartina skirtingose epochose gyvenusių mūsų protėvių buities aspektus, demonstruoja ir suteikia galimybę studijuoti VIII–XII a. bei Renesanso epochos rekonstruotą knygų įrišimo ir foliantų rekonstrukcijos procesus. This book is useful for everyone who is not a stranger to history, archaeology and reconstruction. Descriptions of experiments and reconstructions by members of the Experimental Archaeology Club Pajauta, by Alumni of Vilnius University and by members of the Bookbinders Guild of Vilnius are presented. Book bring together certain aspects of our ancestors’ lives from different eras, where experimental archaeology and traceology as methods for the scientific research of the past were applied. Other research are devoted to the reconstruction of the material heritage of historical times. One of them gives you the opportunity to study the bookbinding process of the 8th-12th centuries, which laid the foundations for modern bookbinding. Another presents an extremely luxurious reconstruction of one of the foliates of the famous Renaissance book-lover Sigismund Augustus.
